You can set up automatic payments for your TNEB (TNPDCL) electricity bill in Tamil Nadu either through the official state portal or via common banking and UPI applications to ensure your bill is paid on time without penalties

மின் கட்டணத்தை வங்கி கணக்கு மூலம் ஆன்லைனில் செலுத்தும் நுகர்வோருக்கு புதிய வசதியை www.tnpdcl.org மூலம் தமிழக மின்வாரியம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

இனி மின் கட்டணத்தை எளிமையாகவும் தானியங்கி முறையில் பணம் செலுத்தும் புதிய திட்டத்தை தமிழ்நாடு மின்வாரியம் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

தமிழகத்தில் மின் பயன்பாடு கணக்கெடுத்த நாளில் இருந்து 20 நாட்களுக்குள் கட்டணத்தை செலுத்த வேண்டும் என்பது விதிமுறையாகும். தவறும் பட்சத்தில் அபராத தொகையுடன் சேர்த்து செலுத்த வேண்டும்

வேலைப்பளு மற்றும் மறதி காரணமாக மின் கட்டணம் கட்டும் தேதியை சிலர்  மறந்துவிடுகின்றனர் 

இதனால் அபராத தொகையுடன் கட்ட வேண்டிய சூழ்நிலை உள்ளது,தானியங்கி முறையில் நுகர்வோரின் வங்கிக்கணக்கில் இருந்து நேரடியாக மின் கட்டணத்தை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும் நடைமுறையை மின்வாரியம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

இந்த வசதியைப் பெற விரும்பும் மின் நுகர்வோர், www.tnpdcl.org எனும் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ இணையதள பக்கத்துக்குச் சென்று, அதில் உள்ள பணம் செலுத்தும் பிரிவில், EB Auto Pay என்ற புதிய முறையை தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். 

பின்னர், தங்களின் மின் இணைப்பு எண் மற்றும் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட கைபேசி எண்ணை உள்ளிட்டு இந்த சேவையை எளிதாக துவங்கி கொள்ளலாம். 

Option 1: Official TNPDCL EB-Auto Pay (Direct)The Tamil Nadu electricity board offers a secure electronic mandate (e-NACH) platform that automatically debits the billed amount from your linked bank account on the 10th day after your bill is assessed.

TNPDCL Online Payment Visit the official TNPDCL EB-Auto Pay Portal.

Click on Register Mandate.

Enter your Consumer Number, registered mobile number, and bank details.Authenticate the mandate (you may need to provide Aadhaar-based authentication or an OTP).You will receive an instant SMS and email confirmation once activated.

Option 2: Using UPI Apps (Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe)If you already use UPI apps, you can set up a recurring AutoPay mandate linked to your monthly biller:

Open your preferred UPI application (e.g., Google Pay or PayTM).Go to your profile settings, locate the Autopay or Automatic Payments section, and select Add New.

Choose Electricity and select your state board (TANGEDCO / TNPDCL).Enter your Consumer Number and set a maximum auto-debit limit for your bill.Authorize the setup using your UPI PIN.
