Now, senior citizens, women above 45, and pregnant women will automatically get lower berths while booking based on seat availability. A great step for safer and more comfortable travel

இந்திய ரயில்வே நிர்வாகம் ரயிலில் உள்ள லோயர் பர்த் ஒதுக்கீடுகுறித்து புதிய விதிமுறைகளை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

கீழ் படுக்கைகள் அனைவருக்கும் கிடைப்பது கட்டாயம் இல்லை. ரயில்வேயின் கணினிமயமாக்கப்பட்ட பதிவு முறை மூத்த குடிமக்கள், 45 வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்ட பெண்கள், கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் ஆகியோர்களுக்கு கீழ் படுக்கை ஒதுக்கீட்டில் முன்னுரிமை அளிக்க்கப்படுகின்றது:

உங்களுக்கு லோயர் பர்த் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தாலும், அதே பெட்டியில் மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கு மேல் அல்லது நடு பர்த் வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், அவர்களை கீழ் படுக்கைக்கு மாற்றுவதற்கு ரயில்வே அதிகாரிகளுக்கு அதிகாரம் உள்ளது.

அதேபோல் இரவு 10 மணி முதல் காலை 6 மணி வரை தூங்கும் நேரமாகும். இந்த நேரத்தில், மேல் அல்லது நடு பர்த்களில் உள்ளவர்கள், கீழ் படுக்கையில் இருப்பவர்களை எழுந்து அமரும்படி கட்டாயப்படுத்தக் கூடாது. இதே விதி சைட் லோயர் மற்றும் மேல் பர்த் படுக்கைகளுக்கும் பொருந்தும்.

Lower berths are not guaranteed for everyone. Priority for lower berths is given to senior citizens, women over 45, and pregnant women. 

Railway authorities have the power to move a passenger from a lower berth to an upper or middle berth to accommodate a senior citizen in the same coach. 

Passengers in upper or middle berths should not be forced to sit up during sleeping hours (10 PM to 6 AM).
