சென்னை, திருவள்ளூர், காஞ்சிபுரம், செங்கல்பட்டு ஆகிய 4 மாவட்டங்களுக்கு நாளையும் பொதுவிடுமுறை தமிழக அரசு அறிவிப்பு

மிக் ஜாம் புயல் காரணமாக தமிழகத்தில் தொடர்ந்து  கன மழை பெய்து வருகின்றது குறிப்பாக  சென்னை, காஞ்சிபுரம், திருவள்ளூர் மற்றும் செங்கல்பட்டு ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் வரலாறு காணாத மழை பெய்து வருகின்றது

இதனால் மேற்கண்ட 4 மாவட்டங்களுக்கு இன்று ரெட் அலர்ட் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது மேலும் இதனால் இன்று பொது விடுமுறையும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, இந்நிலையில் மிக் ஜாம் புயல் நாளை கரையை கடக்கும் என வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது

எனவே நாளை 5. ம் தேதியும் பொது விடுமுறை அறிவித்து தமிழ்நாடு அரசு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. இதையடுத்து அனைத்து பள்ளிகள், கல்லூரிகள், வங்கிகள், நிதி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு நாளை விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

நான்கு மாவட்டங்களிலும், அத்தியாவசிய சேவைகள் தவிர அனைத்து அரசு மற்றும் தனியார் நிறுவனங்களுக்கும் பொது விடுமுறை.

வங்கிகளுக்கும் விடுமுறை வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதுமருத்துவமனைகள், மருந்தகங்கள், பால், குடிநீர், மின்விநியோகம், உணவகங்கள், போக்குவரத்து, பெட்ரோல் பங்குகள் உள்ளிட்ட அத்தியாவசிய சேவைகள் இயங்கும்

Deep depression over South West Bay of Bengal which has intensified into a Cyclonic storm "MICHAUNG", and lay centered at 08.30 AM today, the (04.12.2023) at 90 km East, North-East of Chennai. It is likely to move North, North-west wards, intensify further and reach West-central Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu by 5th December forenoon. Due to this Cyclonic Strom, Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu Districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall and strong winds. In view of the above, the Government has decided to declare Public Holiday on 05.12.2023 (Tuesday) under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, as a special case.

The Government accordingly issues the following orders:

i) All Schools, Colleges, Educational Institutions, Government Offices including the Offices of Public Undertakings / Corporations, Boards, Banks, Financial Institutions etc., in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu Districts will be closed on 05.12.2023 (Tuesday).

ii) However, all essential services, such as Police, Fire Service, Local Bodies, Milk supply, Water supply, Hospitals/Medical shops, Power supply, Transport, Fuel outlets, Hotels/Restaurants, etc., and the Offices engaged in disaster response, relief and rescue activities shall function as usual.
